NOSTALGI CAMPING
Brand Developer, Art Director, Illustrator
Project
The task was to develop a visual identity for Nostalgi Camping, a subbrand of the annual nostalgia festival TimeWinder in Denmark. TimeWinder celebrates bygone eras, focusing on vintage cars, military vehicles, aviation, and scouting.
My focus was on Nostalgi Camping, a playful 1960s-70s-inspired camping experience that captures the essence of flower power, vibrant colors, and the joyful spirit of the ’70s. The project involved creating a full brand book, including logos, colors, fonts, illustrations, merchandise, stickers, and social media content.
Idea
The concept behind the visual identity was to tap into the carefree, colorful vibe of the 1960s-70s, bringing the energy of flower power into every design element. By blending bold, retro-inspired fonts and warm, vibrant colors, the identity captures the fun and nostalgic spirit of the era. The aim was to make Nostalgi Camping feel like a time capsule of a joyful summer from the ’70s, connecting festival-goers with the timeless excitement of camping in that era.
Process
I worked independently on this project, collaborating closely with TimeWinder’s graphic designer to ensure brand alignment. The creative process began with researching 1960s-70s visual styles to find the perfect balance of retro aesthetics and modern appeal.
After developing the logo and color palette, I created illustrations and merchandise concepts that embodied the brand’s playful nature. I also crafted social media posts that integrated the new identity, ensuring a cohesive and engaging online presence for Nostalgi Camping.
