PLEJ
Art Director, Photographer, Copywriter & Editor
A magazine by: Amanda Lindh, Jennie Eklund & Helena Ljunggren
Project
The purpose of this project was to create interesting, entertaining, and informative media about pleasurable sex with consent, tailored for the target audience of young people aged 15 to 20. The goal of the project was to increase communication among youth to reduce the taboo surrounding the topic and, at the same time, increase knowledge with the aim of preventing boundary-crossing experiences.
Idea
– plej – a magazine that challenges conventional norms about how sex education is delivered to young people, focusing on pleasure, consent, and enjoyment. The magazine includes entertaining reading and visually engaging images while providing important topics and information. – plej – serves as a complement to education as well as something to share with friends.
The magazine we have created is intended to be the first edition of an ongoing concept where different topics are covered in each edition. The first issue is an introduction to the subject as well as to the magazine overall.
Process
The team collaborated closely, and all members had fluent roles. We all took on positions as Graphic Designers, handling layout and typography, Photographers, managing casting and photoshoots, and Copywriters, focusing on text work and research.
The result was a blend of our diverse styles and tones as creators — a grungy, colorful, and loud magazine that stands out.
